Sooooo, if you couldn't make it to May Camp you missed our big announcement about our big change for next school year. It's probably pretty obvious if you're reading this that you've realized that Project PANDA is no more...sort of. For the most part, the things we've been doing, the way we do them, that's staying the same.
The name, the look, those things are changing! In a program like ours that is designed by teens for teens, it's important that what we call ourselves and how we look stays relevant to our audience...YOU! We asked teens about the Project PANDA name and logo and the feedback we got was that it was confusing, didn't explain what we did, was hard to tell people about, and they didn't identify with it; so, we listened, and Summit County Youth to Youth (Y2Y) was born. Our hope is that this new look and new name breathes new life into our program and gets you re-excited about the things we do, primarily empowering young people to make positive and healthy life decisions. If you're sad about Project PANDA being gone, we understand and we'd be willing to guess that it's because of the memories you've made at PANDA. We assure you that this change doesn't do anything to your memories, those are yours forever and always and we hope you choose to make new exciting memories at Y2Y. The coordinators and the youth staff are very excited about this change and we hope you'll join us! About Youth to Youth International The name Youth to Youth is actually from Youth to Youth International based in Columbus, Ohio. They are a youth prevention and leadership organization that serves students primarily in Franklin County but host conferences nationally and internationally as well as train adults to provide youth-led prevention services. We have been working with Youth to Youth in several different capacities as Project PANDA whether it was attending conferences, trainings, or collaborating. We are proud to be a part of the Youth to Youth family! You can learn more about Youth to Youth International by visiting www.youthtoyouth.net
